At the March 10, 2026, Board of Education meeting, the Board accepted the resignations of four Skokie School District 73.5 administrators effective at the end of the 2025–2026 school year: Angela DeMay, Dr. Helen Wei, Kristine Paulson, and Dr. Perry Finch. I am grateful for the dedication and service each of these leaders has provided to our students, staff, administration, Board of Education, parents, and the Skokie 73.5 community.

As we begin the process of identifying new leaders for our district, I will be holding parent meetings beginning next week to gather input and help develop leadership profiles for the next principal of Meyer School, the next principal of Middleton School, and the next Director of Student Services. Your feedback is an important part of this process.

The meetings will take place at the following times and locations:

• WEDNESDAY, MARCH 18th at 5:00 p.m. in the Middleton Library (Middleton Principal search)
• THURSDAY, MARCH 19th at 5:00 p.m. in the Meyer Library (Meyer Principal search)
• MONDAY, MARCH 23rd at 7:00 p.m. in the McCracken Library (Director of Student Services search)

The positions were posted on March 11, 2026. The district is partnering with Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates (HYA) to assist in identifying strong candidates for all three positions. First-round interviews will take place during the weeks of March 16th–27th. Final-round interviews will be held the week of April 6th–10th and will include participation from parents, paraprofessionals, administrators, and members of the Board of Education.
