McCracken Class of 2023 Graduation Information

Dear Parents/Guardians of 8th Grade Students:

We hope you and your family are well! We have a few reminders below regarding upcoming deadlines for graduation planning. There will continue to be additional updates throughout the year which will be shared with families through email and in our Weekly Newsletter. We also have a page on the McCracken website for graduation information.

At this time, we are asking parents and guardians to submit student diploma names and submit gown and tassel purchase options. 

• Student Diploma Names. Please submit your child’s name EXACTLY as you would like it to appear on the diploma. Submit names on this form by February 3rd. Families who do not complete this form will have their student's legal name printed as it is used in PowerSchool.
• Graduation Gown and Tassel Purchase Options. Families have the option to purchase a graduation gown and tassel individually or as a package. Complete this form by February 3rd.

Upcoming Important Dates:

• Diploma Cards & Gown/Tassel Orders Due: February 3rd
• Niles North High School Counselor Appointments: February 9th and 10th
• 8th Grade Graduation Picture Retakes: March 16th. Picture proofs from graduation pictures taken on February 1st will be sent to the school and then distributed to students and families for review and purchase in approximately 3 weeks.
• 8th Grade End of the Year Event: May 20th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
• Graduation Date: May 25th from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Niles North High School. We expect the ceremony to start promptly at 7:00 p.m. and last approximately 1 to 1.5 hours.
