Kevin Poduska

Director of Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment

Kevin Poduska is a passionate, equity-driven leader and practitioner with 18 years of experience leading, learning, and building collective efficacy in the service of all students’ growth learning. Poduska began his career as an English Language Arts and reading teacher in Township High School District 214 in Arlington Heights, IL. Prior to joining Skokie School District 73.5 as the Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment, Poduska served as the Literacy/EL Division Chair at York Community High School in Elmhurst (IL) Community Unit School District 205. Poduska has also worked as an educational consultant in the Chicago metro area and southern Wisconsin.

Poduska holds a Bachelor of Science in English and Speech Education from Illinois State University; he also holds a Master's Degree in Reading and a Master's Degree in Educational Administration—both from Olivet Nazarene University. Poduska is currently working toward his doctoral degree in Curriculum Leadership and Policy Studies at Northern Illinois University.
