HELP DEVELOP A PLAN FOR OUR SCHOOLS!
Skokie 73.5’s schools are aging, overcrowded, and facing infrastructure challenges. These issues must be addressed to keep our kids safe, secure, and prepared for the future. Building 73.5 is a community-led initiative that invites families, staff, and neighbors to work together on solutions. Through open discussions and hands-on activities, we’ll explore the needs of our schools and set priorities for the future.
More than 100 community members attended the first two Building 73.5 sessions last spring. Their feedback helped shape the priorities for the district, which included:
- Ensuring ADA accessibility in all schools
- Providing space for specialized student support programs
- Meeting today’s safety and security standards
- Updating schools to support technology, STEM, and collaborative learning
- Proactively replacing aging systems and infrastructure

WE NEED YOUR HELP DEVELOPING A PLAN TO IMPROVE OUR SCHOOL FACILITIES
Skokie 73.5 schools are deteriorating and face infrastructure challenges that need to be addressed to keep our kids safe and secure and prepare them for the future.
Building 73.5 is a community-led public engagement program that brings families, staff, and community members together to address key facility challenges. Everyone is encouraged to participate and provide input to help develop a vision for the future of our schools!
Join us at a Community Engagement Session, where you will learn more about these challenges, participate in interactive activities with fellow community members, and help set priorities to move our schools forward.
