Meyer END OF YEAR Intervention Letter

The message below is a translatable supplement to letter sent to multilingual families.

May 2025

Dear Meyer Families,

Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) is a state-wide, general education process involving the identification and continuous monitoring of student academic needs with reading and math. This three-tiered model, in which students continue to participate in the everyday core curriculum while receiving additional support for learning, reflects best practices for organizing and delivering needed student assistance. The intention of MTSS is to provide your child with timely support for their learning. As your child’s skills improve, these supports will be gradually phased out.

You are receiving this letter because your child received additional support in math and/or reading during the spring of this school year. Your child will take the fall benchmark assessments at the start of the 2025-2026 school year. Your child’s fall benchmark assessment results will determine the need for MTSS support at that time. Our staff will promptly communicate those support needs with you in the fall if they are necessary.

When families and schools work together, our students’ learning is enhanced. Consider providing your child with opportunities to practice their reading and math skills over the summer. Contact us if you have any questions. Thank you for your partnership and support!
