Dear Middleton Families,
Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! We are so excited to see your students soon!
On Thursday, August 11th, we will be mailing back-to-school packets to all families via regular mail. This letter will include your child's classroom teacher assignment, plans for how your student will arrive at school each day, and how they will get home each day. Additionally, there will be information about our breakfast/lunch program and all things pertinent to the learning your student will receive this year. PLEASE read the information carefully, as the first few weeks of school are very busy and we would like to ensure a smooth start for all.
We want to ensure all students arrive and leave our school grounds as safely as possible, so please make sure to make special note of our two drop-off points if your child is being driven or walking to school. If your student plans to ride the bus, please be patient with us for the first week or two of school. It takes some time for our bus drivers to learn all the routes and we check each student onto the bus as they get on at the end of the day, which always takes some time to get to know each student. If your plans change at the end of the day it is very important that you call the front office to let us know. Our classroom teachers are teaching and aren't always able to check their email before dismissal. This will ensure your child receives the message and knows there has been a change.
If your family is new to our school, we will be having a meet and greet with Assistant Principal Stephanie Larenas and myself on Friday, August 19th from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. We will meet in our library and welcome you to come into our school to see where your student(s) will be spending their days beginning August 24th!
As a final reminder, beginning Tuesday, August 30th and every Tuesday school is in session, students will be dismissed at 2:00 p.m. Please mark your calendars!
