Dear Meyer Families.
We hope your children have had a great beginning to the school year! We are so happy to have them here at Meyer School.
We have a few reminders to share with you in our first full week of school.
EARLY DISMISSAL FOR KINDERGARTEN ONLY: Today is early dismissal Tuesday for Kindergarten students only. Kindergarten will dismiss 1:55 to 2:00 p.m. PM Preschool students will dismiss, as usual, at 2:30 p.m.
CURRICULUM NIGHT: We’re looking forward to seeing you on Thursday, September 1st, for the Meyer Curriculum Night! Your child's classroom teacher will be sharing important information during classroom visits, and you will have the opportunity to meet other parents/guardians. I will also present some information about Meyer School in the gym and introduce our staff.
This is an adults-only event. We still have a few childcare spots open during the event! Reservations are required for childcare. Please call the office at 847-673-1223 by 3:30 p.m. today to reserve a spot for your child. Due to staffing issues, we are not able to accept children on the spot.
Please follow the schedule below:
6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Preschool parents/guardians
- 6:00 to 6:30 Preschool Teacher Sessions (classrooms)
- 6:30 to 7:00 Principal’s Session (Gym)
6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Kindergarten parents/guardians
- 6:30 to 7:00 Principal’s Session (Gym)
- 7:00 to 7:30 Kindergarten Teacher Sessions (classrooms)
BOOK FAIR: The Scholastic Book Fair is also here at Meyer to help us kick off the school year! It will be open in the Meyer Library through Thursday, September 1st during these times: 11:00 to 11:30 a.m., 12:00 to 12:30 p.m., and 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Please enter through the main entrance, and we will need your picture ID to check you into the building.
The book fair will also be open on Curriculum Night from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., so you can stop by before, during, or after your sessions! In addition, you can shop online August 29th through September 11th at www.scholastic.com/bf/meyer.
