Principal's Welcome

Welcome to Meyer School!

Meyer School is the early childhood center for Skokie School District 73.5, housing our district’s preschool and kindergarten programs. We are proud of our child-centered, rigorous, and engaging curricular and instructional program, which is designed, implemented, and reviewed by our highly qualified early childhood teachers and specialists. We value a growth mindset, and strive to provide developmentally appropriate and academically challenging learning for every student, while meeting their social-emotional and physical needs and development. We also work closely with our families to support our students and the whole child, and encourage parent involvement in our classrooms and around the school.

In 2017, the Meyer School building was expanded to include a new gymnasium, additional classrooms, and a new learning center to help us focus on 21st Century Learning. Additionally, we have partnered with the Niles Township Department for Special Education (NTDSE), and we serve as a satellite location for their Early Childhood Education Program. Together, we are very proud of our Meyer Shining Stars!

Sincerely,

Helen H. Wei, Ph.D.
