Dear McCracken Families,

We hope parents and guardians will be able to join us this evening. You will find a few reminders for our Curriculum Night event below.

  • Date: Thursday, September 8th
  • Time: 6:00 to 7:45 p.m.
  • Doors will open at 5:45 p.m. for parents and guardians to pick up their child’s grade level schedule.
  • This event is for parents and guardians only.
  • Teachers' classrooms will open at 5:55 p.m.
  • Advisory will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m.
  • Parents and guardians will visit each class for a 7 minute presentation
  • We will make an announcement at the end of each class period to signal movement to the next class.
  • All Specials classes (Art, Steam, Music/Choir) will be held in the McCracken gymnasium
  • All P.E. classes (P.E., Fitness, Health) will take place in the McCracken gymnasium
  • An administrative welcome presentation will be located in the McCracken gymnasium for all grade level lunch periods.

If you are interested in avoiding lines in the lobby to pick up your child’s personalized schedule at 5:45 p.m. you can choose to access your child’s schedule on the PowerSchool Parent Portal. Take a screenshot of the schedule on your phone and then use that schedule to locate your child’s classes. Advisory will begin at 6:00 p.m. Please see this schedule resource for additional support.

If a teacher is not able to attend Curriculum Night we will place a note on the classroom door alerting families that they will need to take a short 7-minute break before moving to the next class. Parents and guardians may choose to take a quick tour or visit our Learning Center during this break. Please do not enter any classrooms during that break to minimize any disruptions to presentations already in progress.

Families who are not able to attend can access our school website for information related to curriculum and programming. You may also reach out to McCracken teachers and staff anytime throughout the school year!

Sincerely,

Nancy Ariola, Principal

Marty Behm, Assistant Principal

Priya Amin, Assistant Principal
