Welcome to the Skokie School District 73.5 website!
District 73.5 is a preK-8 grade district with approximately 1,100 students in attendance at our three buildings. More than 50% of our students come from homes in which a language other than English is spoken, more than 60 languages in all. We are proud of the diversity of the families that attend our schools, our outstanding programs, and quality staff.
District 73.5 has established a set of guiding principles. The principles represent the best thinking of District 73.5 staff, parents, students, and community members. Our guiding principles include:
Our school will…
Support and inspire our students.
Our students will be…
Critical thinkers and creative problem solvers.
Our community will…
Demonstrate integrity and respect.
Our graduates will…
Help make the world a better place.
In conjunction with our guiding principles, District 73.5 is committed to a long-range strategic plan. The strategic plan serves as a road map to guide our decisions in curricular, extracurricular, financial, and system-wide initiatives. Our 2018-2023 strategic plan outlines goals in the following areas:
- Community Engagement
- Fiscal Responsibility
- Learning Environment
- Whole Child
A special thank you to the parents, Board of Education members, community partners, and staff that help draft our strategic plan. We are excited about our accomplishments as well as the work ahead focused on meeting the needs of all of our children.
Please reach out with any questions, concerns, or suggestions as together we continue to help “build a foundation for learning, leadership, and life.”
