Skokie School District 73.5 celebrates Oliver McCracken Middle School’s EXEMPLARY Summative Designation on the 2025 Illinois Report Card. Designations were announced on Thursday, October 30th at 9:00 a.m. when the Illinois State Board of Education released its annual report of how each school, district, and the state is performing on a wide range of educational goals.
The EXEMPLARY designation is awarded to schools that achieve a score in the top 10% statewide and ensures that all its student demographic groups meet the performance standards. For the school year ending 2025, McCracken students demonstrated an overall 78.7% in English Language Arts (ELA) proficiency, and growth of 64.8%. In Math, McCracken students demonstrated an overall 45.3% proficiency and 55.6% growth. In Science, overall proficiency is 63.9%.
“We are proud of the collective effort of our students, staff, and school community,” said McCracken Principal Nancy Ariola. “We look forward to continuing to support all students in reaching their highest potential both academically and socially and emotionally at McCracken Middle School.
The Illinois Report Card provides the school community with an opportunity to reflect on last year’s strengths and discuss areas for continuous improvement. Skokie School District 73.5 believes every student can meet high expectations and that parents/caregivers and community members are a critical partner in each child’s education.
