During the first weeks of summer break 2025, students got busy in the McCracken Garden. In addition to the typical garden activities with Ms. Eccleston, a representative from Evanston Grows stopped by to teach students about worm composting. Check the photos!
The McCracken Garden has always been a place to learn about plants and fresh food. Our garden club meets over the summer and we cook what we grow, trying new recipes each week.
A new and improved McCracken Garden was recently upgraded to include 11 large raised beds and many smaller beds to increase our growing space. We are thrilled with the opportunity to have a working garden! Our goal is to create an international garden that represents food from the families in our community.
Please reach out to Ms. Eccleston if you would like to help in the garden. We are eager to hear your ideas for growing food from around the world.
