Power was restored at Middleton School at approximately 9:00 a.m. The building fire alarm did go off as power came back online. Skokie Fire Department came out and confirmed that everything is OK.
Classrooms and hallways are well lit, water fountains are back in service, the phone system is working, and internet access is restored.
We appreciate your understanding and support as we worked through this unexpected start to the Middleton school day.
At 6:30 a.m. Tuesday we learned of a partial power outage affecting Middleton School. All administrators have been monitoring the situation.
SCHOOL WILL BE IN SESSION TODAY. Power is out in some classrooms and hallways, washrooms are functional, water fountains are not working, and our Technology Department is currently addressing issues with the phone system.
Our Buildings & Grounds team is working with Commonwealth Edison to resolve the issue. ComEd estimates that power will be restored at approximately 12:45 p.m.
