Lockdown Drill Reminder

Dear Parents and Guardians,

This is a reminder that Skokie73.5 will conduct a lockdown drill in all buildings on Tuesday, October 3, 2023. Illinois state law requires that we conduct a minimum of one lockdown drill per school year that involves the presence of law enforcement officials to ensure that our students know their role during a potential threat.

Students who opt out of the lockdown drill will be supervised in an alternate space within the building and for the duration of the drill. They will receive verbal guidance around drill procedures, but will not be expected to practice the procedures.

We hope that our staff and students will never experience the need to utilize the strategies learned during these drills, but will be prepared if such an incident occurs.
