Dr. Charles Kyle
Superintendent
Dr. Kyle joined Skokie 73.5 in July 2025 and brings 29 years of leadership experience in education to the District. Previously the Superintendent of Burr Ridge Community Consolidated School District 180, Dr. Kyle collaborated closely with faculty, staff, students, families, administrators, and the Board of Education to drive significant progress, including restoring student achievement to pre-pandemic levels, reducing disciplinary incidents, and increasing both student and staff attendance.
Before his tenure at Burr Ridge, Dr. Kyle was the Assistant Superintendent of Administrative Services at Wheaton Warrenville Community Unit School District 200. In that role, he oversaw the district’s two high schools, managed the fine and performing arts programs, and directed human resources. He also served as the district’s safety officer, FOIA officer, and uniform grievance officer.
Earlier in his career, Dr. Kyle served as principal of St. Charles East High School for seven years. Under his leadership, the school saw increased academic success among underrepresented students, with notable gains in SAT/ACT scores, AP course enrollment, test participation, and extracurricular involvement. He also served for a decade as assistant principal and then principal at Haines Middle School, where he led school improvement initiatives focused on math, reading, SEL, and writing. In 2006, Haines Middle School received the prestigious National Blue Ribbon Award for Academic Excellence.
