Free And Reduced Lunch Information

In order to be eligible for the Free/Reduced Lunch Program for 2015-2016, you must complete an application. Applications are available in the School Office and on our website. Families who were approved for the Free/Reduced Lunch program last year must apply again this year. The deadline is September 30.  If you do not apply by September 30, 2015, you will be charged for lunches. If you have any questions, please call Elle Karagianes at 847.676.8317.

Enrichment News

Over 180 Middleton students registered for After School Enrichment classes! Every effort was made to accommodate at least one of each student's choices. Enrichment classes will begin the week of September 21. Please make sure your child knows what days he or she will stay after school for Enrichment classes. If you did not receive an enrichment confirmation form, please contact Kimberly Davis by email.

Enrichment Late Bus Information

There is no late bus on Tuesdays. The 4:00 p.m. late bus follows a different route than the 3:00 p.m. after school buses. The late bus stops are listed on the 2nd page of the registration form. All parents who have children riding the late bus home after an enrichment class should explain to their children that their bus stop might not be the same as their regular bus stop. Take time to show your child(ren) the location of their late bus stop and point out familiar landmarks to make them feel more at ease. It is extremely helpful if someone is waiting at the late bus stop for them.

PTA Movie Night

The PTA invites you to join us for Middleton Movie Night on Friday, September 18! Come see the new animated feature that tells the story of a lovable alien and his Earthling friend as they go on a series of adventures, ultimately learning that being different and making mistakes is all part of the human experience. Rated PG. Takes place in the Gym. Doors Open at 6:15 p.m. Movie starts at 6:30 p.m. Bring your cozy blankets, wear your PJ's if you want, get your popcorn, and enjoy a movie with your family. Parents must accompany their children.

English Classes

Center for Adult Learning LogoOnce again, free English classes are being offered to district parents and grandparents on Saturday mornings, from 10:00-11:30 a.m. in the Elizabeth Meyer School Multi-Purpose room. There is free child-care. Interested parents must complete the registration form attached to this Weekly (Urdu translation). Slips can be sent to your school office. The first class is scheduled on Saturday, September 12.

Item Drop Off

We know that there are times when students forget to bring lunches, band instruments, books, and other items to school. Please know that when you drop those items at school, our front office staff will email or call teachers to inform them of this. Teachers do their best to send students down as soon as possible to retrieve these items. It is not possible for secretaries to deliver items or lunches to classrooms due to the busy nature of the front office. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation with this. Please also know that if a child forgets a lunch at home, they will always be fed here at school, so it may not be necessary for you to drop lunch off during the day.
