On April 27th,  almost 40 parents, teachers and administrators met to discuss the direction of our PTA.  We did some preliminary work to gather ideas and language for a mission statement.  After that meeting, a small group met to draft a statement.  The following is what we composed.  The PTA voted unanimously to approve this Mission and Vision statement on May 25th:

District 73.5 PTA Mission Statement

The District 73.5 PTA builds bridges between families and schools in our culturally rich community.  Through meaningful events and effective fundraising, we enhance learning experiences, strengthen communication between home and school and celebrate every child.

District 73.5 PTA Vision Statement

At the School District 73.5 PTA:

• We welcome, support, and include every family, teacher and administrator as an important part of the PTA.
• We listen to one another in order to realize the aims and dreams of our children.
• We motivate and prepare volunteers.
• We encourage excellence and supplement school resources through teacher grants.
• We build community and relationships while embracing diversity.
• We have fun while doing it!
